CargoScope helps freight teams track shipments and receive operational alerts. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

We collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication provider details, team or organization membership, and billing status. When you use the product, we process shipment details that you submit, including container numbers, carriers, tracking events, alert preferences, and related operational metadata.

We also collect technical information needed to operate the service, such as device, browser, IP address, session, diagnostic, and security logs. Optional limited product-usage and performance analytics can be disabled from Appearance settings on each device. CargoScope does not send your email address or workspace name to the browser analytics provider.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide shipment tracking, send account and shipment alerts, manage teams, process subscriptions, provide customer support, prevent abuse, and improve service reliability.

Payments and Subscriptions

Current subscriptions are purchased through the CargoScope web portal and processed by Paddle. The mobile app is a companion to an existing workspace and does not sell subscriptions. Legacy Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions, where applicable, remain processed by the original storefront and may use RevenueCat to synchronize entitlement status. Payment providers process payment details directly.

Service Providers

We use trusted providers for authentication, database hosting, cloud hosting, payments, subscription management, email delivery, analytics, monitoring, and customer communications. These providers may process information only as needed to deliver their services to CargoScope.

Email and Notifications

We send transactional messages such as sign-up confirmations, team invitations, shipment alerts, subscription confirmations, billing notifications, and account security messages. You can manage product notification preferences in the app where available.

Data Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user and shipment data.

Your Choices

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for security, billing, legal, or operational reasons. You can also disable product analytics for your current browser or device from CargoScope Appearance settings.
